Magic little beans

Things started to grow and then I started to experiment with all sorts of other vegetables. Here are some beans that I started from scratch and as they grew I potted in a random pot I found that someone threw away.
Beans in there early stage!

As time went on they developed, part of me could not really believe that I was actually producing crops, but then the growing continued. Im not quite sure what was exciting but there was some sort of fun factor in the fact that something started from scratch and before you know it things are sprigging off.

Once the beans stalks or whatever they are called got to around 10cm they grew rapidly and the flowers quickly developed into beans. My plan is as they grow to find a way to use my balcony to wrap them around and get maximum productivity out of them.

By using old fruit containers I started planting things such as radishes, lettuce, herbs and carrots. (basically any seeds that were cheap and organic)  Strangely enough after a few days things started to sprout.

These old fruit containers were perfect for when the plants were small, but I quickly learnt that if they grew too much their roots became intertwined and therefore I decided it was better to invest in little plant incubators.

Why!

I'll start by declaring my love of finding projects to keep myself entertained.

For the last four years I have been confound by the walls of a city. So this year I have decided to bring a bit of life to my once dreary balcony. I started off small and found some seeds on sale. And then it all began....
